Toggling Anyone?
In Final Cut Pro 7 you can toggle between many things. It is a quick way of getting, from one view or function to another, that can help speed up your editing process. Here are just a few toggle shortcuts and tips that hopefully you'll put to good use in your next edit session.
Toggle Auto Select Video and Audio Tracks
To enable or disable Auto Select for Track A1, select Otpion-Keypad 1, and so on for Track 2-9 just hit the Keypad number that corresponds with the Track number. And to enable or disable all Auto Select audio tracks, select Option-Keypad 0. This is also true to enable and disable Auto Select for Video Tracks, except the shortcut is Command-Keypad Number, and again for all video tracks Keypad 0 selects them all.
To Toggle Browser View
To toggle the browser between the list view and the three icon views, just select Shift-H
To Toggle Channels
To toggle the Canvas/Viewer between RGB, Alpha and RGB+Alpha views, select Shift-W
To Toggle Clip Enable
To enable/disable a selected cliop's playback status, select Control-B
To Toggle Clip Keyframes
To enable/disable clip keyframes display in a sequence, select Option-T
To Toggle Clip Overlays
To enable/disable audio levels and video opacity display in a sequence, select Option-W
To Toggle Edit Type
To toggle a selected edit point between ripple outgoing, roll and ripple icoming, select u, or Shift-R
To Toggle Link
To enable/disable linking of seleteed clip video/audio items, select Command-L
To Toggle Windows
To Toggle betwen the Viewer and Canvas window as active - slect Q
